Mayor John Tory has the approval of a solid majority of the city’s  residents (56%), and fewer than one quarter disapprove of the job he’s doing (23%). One fifth don’t offer an opinion (21%). His net favourable score (approve minus disapprove) is therefore a healthy and positive +33.

those who live west of Yonge Street in Toronto and have their waste collected by a private sector contractor have slightly higher levels of strong satisfaction with their service (60% very satisfied) than do those east of Yonge Street, whose waste is collected by city employees (54% very satisfied).

Slightly more disapprove of tolling public highways to raise money for transit and transportation infrastructure (46%) than approve of this method of public financing (43%) - an almost even split in opinion.
